From August through November the
"Tammy Rose" Sails from Stage Harbor, in
Chatham in pursuit of the mighty Bluefin Tuna. This is prime
time for Bluefin Tuna fishing and the "Tammy Rose"
and Captain Eric Stewart have become legendary in these waters.
With over 1100 Bluefin Tuna landed in the last four seasons you can
be sure that Capt. Eric knows how to "put you on the fish".
The "Tammy Rose" is a serious offshore boat built for sport fishing.
She has a huge cockpit and is equipped with all of the safety
equipment of a commercial boat. We fish the finest of tackle
including Penn International Offshore Reels and Capt. Eric Stewart's personal
custom rods. All bait and tackle is provided. We have a
top notch professional crew.
In June and July the
"Tuna Fever" sails from Stage
Harbor. The trips are 8-10 hours in length with a maximum of
four passengers. We target school bluefin tuna on the troll.
Capt. Eric started these trips on the "Tuna Fever" last season and
titled them "Tuna Tactics - 102. On these trips Captain Eric
will take you out of the classroom and onto the water where you can
learn to apply the many techniques and tactics that he has provided
anglers in his seminars. You will learn how to effectively
troll, fight and land large tuna from an outboard boat. "Tuna
Fever" is only available for charters in the early part of the
season while the "Tammy Rose" is in Cape Cod Bay bass fishing, so
bookings are limited. If you are looking to learn about tuna
fishing from an outboard boat a day on the "Tuna Fever" with Capt.
Eric may just be your ticket. Last season we started catching
tuna in the first week in June and it lasted into November!
Book soon, prime times and tides go fast.
Come fish with the best and see the
difference. Ice is provided on all tuna charters. You
should bring sunglasses, sun block, food and drink, ziplock storage
bags for your fresh fish that will be filleted by the crew back at
the dock and clothing for the ever
changing marine environment. NO BANANAS!, they
are just bad luck.
