PENN 113 HSP mounted on a 6-1/2' Hook-Up! custom rod. The PENN 113 HSP sets the standard for wire line reels and the Hook-Up! custom rod features a Fuji Reel Seat, two hand fore-grip, Braced Carbaloy Guides, aluminum gimbal and a Roller Tip. This is the combination used on the "Tammy Rose" Charter Boat in Cape Cod Bay. The Hook-Up! loads the combo with 100 yds of 130 lb test dacron backing, followed by 50 yds of 50 lb test wire - a short dacron splice - and another 50 yds of wire. With this set up you can let out 50 yds for lures and umbrella rigs _WHILE RESTING THE SHORT SPLICE AT THE ROD TIP - and if you want let out the remaing 50 yds of wire for deep jigging.
